Client Hub

Welcome to the Client Hub, the central hub for all your service and support needs.

I’ve created this space to provide you with easy access to frequently asked questions, essential policies, and appointment bookings. Whether you are seeking information or ready to schedule your appointment, this hub is designed to make the journey as smooth and convenient as possible.

Do I need a referral?

A referral is not required to book an appointment; however, clients with a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP), referred by a GP or Psychiatrist, may be eligible for a Medicare rebate on up to 10 sessions per calendar year. The number of sessions covered under your plan will be determined by your referring practitioner. Please ensure you provide a copy of your referral prior to your first appointment.

What are the fees?

As a private billing provider, please note that all services involve an out-of-pocket cost. After completing 10 sessions under a MHTP subsequent consultations will be charged at the full fee rate. Depending on your private health insurance coverage, you may be eligible for partial or full reimbursement. Please contact your insurer directly for more information regarding your specific policy.

All fees are to be paid on the day of your consultation. Payments can be made via direct bank transfer or processed through STRIPE using your nominated debit or credit card.  For further details, please refer to Stripe’s Terms and Conditions on their website.

What is the cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice to avoid a cancellation fee. This fee must be paid before booking your next appointment. In the case of a genuine emergency, please make contact soon as possible to discuss your situation. Please note that Medicare does not provide a rebate for missed appointments.

How do I claim my Medicare rebate?

To claim your Medicare rebate you will need to log into your My Gov or Express Plus Medicare app and submit details from your referral and paid invoice. Once Medicare has processed your claim, you will receive the rebate back into your nominated account.

How do I book an appointment?

If you would like to book an appointment, make a request through the ‘Contact’ page. Upon receipt, you will be sent an email with information about available services and an intake form for completion.

Can I book an appointment if we have worked together in a different setting?

Please note that if we have worked together previously, I may be unable to offer services due to professional obligations. Please don’t hesitate to make contact to discuss your eligibility for a referral.

Can you help with Court matters?

I do not offer appointments for the purpose of medico-legal reports (e.g., court reports), fulfilling mandated legal obligations, or services covered by third-party funding, such as TAC, Workcover, or Victims of Crime.

Do I need a formal diagnosis to see a psychologist?

You don’t need a formal diagnosis to see a psychologist. People seek psychological support for many reasons, including:

  • Developing healthier coping strategies

  • Personal growth and self-development

  • Gaining a deeper understanding of yourself and recognizing patterns in behavior that may affect important relationships

  • Following a doctor’s recommendation as part of your treatment plan

Whatever your reason, seeking support is a positive step toward improving your well-being.

What should I expect when seeing a psychologist for the first time?

During your first appointment, we will discuss the reason for your referral, any challenges you're facing, and your personal history. When working with adolescents, a parent or caregiver may be invited to join the session briefly. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and share any concerns, and some clients find it helpful to prepare a list of questions beforehand. It's completely normal to feel a bit nervous about seeing a psychologist for the first time.

How can I prepare my teen for their first appointment?

Supporting your child in attending professional appointments can be challenging and stressful for parents. Adolescents may sometimes feel embarrassed, hopeless, or downplay their need for support. If your child is anxious about their first appointment, it can be helpful to show them my website so they can get a sense of what to expect. Reassure them that it's perfectly okay if they feel I’m not the right fit—we can explore finding a practitioner who might be better suited for them. I also encourage parents to let their child know that it's alright if they don’t feel like talking during the session, and that the appointment is confidential.
